EXO’s Kai Shocks Fans with Bold “Love Confession” to Fellow Celebrity at Solo Concert

EXO Kai’s turned his 2025 KAI SOLO CONCERT TOUR into a night to remember with an unexpected—and hilarious—”love confession” that had fans cheering in delight.
Held at the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium in Seoul’s Songpa District on May 18, the second day of the sold-out concert series drew a packed house of around 9,000 fans. As the show reached its midway point, Kai took a surprising turn.
With a solemn tone, he told the audience, “I have something to confess. I debated for a long time whether I should say this or keep it to myself.” After a dramatic pause, he exclaimed with a wide grin: “I have someone I like… Car, the Garden, I love you!”

The crowd erupted in laughter and cheers. The declaration, while sincere in delivery, was actually a penalty from Kai’s appearance last month on Car, the Garden’s YouTube channel, “Car the Garden.” The two had played a game, and after losing, Kai had promised to make a public confession of love.
Car, the Garden is a Korean singer-songwriter known for his soulful indie rock and folk music. he debuted in 2013 with “Romantico.” His emotional lyrics and guitar-driven sound shine in albums like Glimpse and K-drama OSTs such as Itaewon Class. He is also a former baseball player and now celebrated for raw, heartfelt performances.

Grinning and forming a giant heart with his hands, Kai added, “That’s finally done. Some of you might not know the backstory, but I won’t go into too much detail.”
But the fans weren’t ready to let him off the hook just yet. Chanting for an encore, they urged him to say it again. Kai, laughing and clearly a bit shy, relented: “I don’t know if you’re watching, but Car, the Garden, I love you. I love you.” He capped it off with another adorable hand-heart, igniting another wave of applause.

The KAION tour is Kai’s first solo concert tour and will span 10 cities across Asia, including Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Jakarta, Singapore, Taipei, Manila, Bangkok, Yokohama, and Hong Kong.
